5th World Musics (aka Transmusic) whole-heartedly supports student & independent filmmaking and offers up its entire catalog to student & independent filmmakers free of charge under certain conditions. We do require you purchase either the CD or song you wish to use and provide us one (1) finished copy of the film on DVD.

Student filmmakers: You must contact us before using our copyrighted material and explain how it is to be used. Copyrighted material must be used only in a student film and displayed in a classroom setting. If you wish to further submit your film in a festival setting you must contact us before doing so to obtain a festival rights license. If your film advances beyond the festival setting please refer to the independent filmmaker guidelines below.

Independent filmmakers: You must contact us before using our copyrighted material and explain how it is to be used. We only offer you festival performance rights free of charge. You must not use our copyrighted material in associated soundtracks, marketing, promotion, etc. without obtaining further rights clearances. If your film is picked up and distributed you must obtain further rights clearances or the song must be entirely removed in whole or in part.

In all instances all materials remain the sole property of 5th World Musics and all rights can be withdrawn at our discretion.
